Party is over, Time to clean!

Party is over and time to clean up the Super Bowl mess with Lysol wipes, my Shark Rotator Professional vacuum and my Bissell steam cleaner.

First, Lysol wipe all the tables and counters, clean and disinfect.  Next, the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, The Shark Rotator.  One of my favorite sounds is chips and dirt being sucked up into my bag-less Shark Rotator canister.  When I empty it, it makes me feel like my house is crumb free.   The final touch is the floor being cleaned with my Bissell floor steamer.  Nothing feels better than walking around the house without socks or slippers.  A smooth clean floor makes me feel like an Olympic ice skater.
I love a clean house, even it is for 6 hours.  Then, the kids and husband will get home and all the dirt from cleats and running shoes will muck it all up again.  Oh well, Family life .
All my cleaning instruments I got on sale, at Target.
Happy Monday morning cleaning!!!

Target in 15 minutes flat!

Another lovely and warm California afternoon.  Great day to play tennis.  I only had 15 minutes to spare which was just enough time to fill my Target basket with goodies.

Yesterday we started  planning the 4th grade Valentine's Day class party.  I grabbed some cute striped and heart print napkins and fun black and white straws.  I also scored a few packs of decorative XO and Love felt stickers for the class craft table.   A sweet felt flower will make a cute broach for the month of February.

On sale, I found the great scented Red Velvet cupcake candle, my house smells so good right now.  The candle section is next to the office supplies and I needed staples (on sale for .49 cents for 5,000), I grabbed two boxes.  Also some Scotch tape and a Westcott pencil sharpener (I thought Westcott only made scissors) they have been around for forever, 1872 to be exact.

In 15 minutes, I was able to knock out supplies for the Valentine's class party items, office supplies,  a cute broach and a sweet smelling Red Velvet Candle.

Best 15 minutes of shopping in a long time!  Happy almost February.

On the cutting room floor, paper hearts #targetrun

Paper hearts everywhere.   We cut all weekend, and just when we thought we were done, we cut some more.  Always fun, easy to do and all of these hearts will make a lot of people feel loved!

Of course, I had to go to Target to get more paper.   Before turning left into the craft section, I turned right and perused the girls’ clothing section, found a few cute Mossismo tank tops.

Once in the art supply section, I looked across the aisle and I remembered I needed toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, Goody Hair bands and Burt’s bee's lip balm.

A trip to Target for paper, lead to a basket full of other necessities!

Valentine's, Tiffany & Co and Target ♥

Just because I shop at Target, all the time for everything it does not mean I don't love my Tiffany & Co.  My theory, if I save on everyday items, cut coupons and shop the ads, I can't be denied the Tiffany blue box.   Right?

I know it is the thought that counts on Valentine’s Day, or any day but I say, think big!  Buy a card at Target and attach it to a Tiffany & Co. gift.

I will be dropping my hint soon to my husband; of course after I talk about all my great bargain shopping!

I know he will get me a card, at least I think he will.

Target basket is filled with Vitamin C

I use my Target basket for so many things, usually shopping, sometimes carrying class projects but today I used it to pick fresh oranges off our family tree.  These orange trees were planted 55 years ago, from small pots.  Today, they are huge, 3 in all; when I was growing up, I would play outside, pick, peel and eat them.
Today, I filled my basket; they smell so wonderful; we never used pesticides, sprays or chemicals.  Sometime ants crawl up and down the branches, but we let them.   Once the oranges are picked, we give them a lite wash, just to remove any dirt or ants.  My basket is perfect for this, because all the water just rinses right through. (see the picture on my google page)  They are not perfect like the oranges you find in the store, they have bumps and bruises and some still have the leaves attached.  The beauty is on the inside, the smell, the color and the taste.
When I want one, I wash it well, peel with just my finger and the room fills with the scent of fresh orange.  My kids can smell it, and assume it is for them.  I always peal a few, leave them in a bowl on the table and they are eaten with in minutes.
It is flu and cold season; nothing makes us feel better than a fresh picked orange.  Find a friend who has a tree and ask if you can have a few, you will taste the difference.
Enjoy!

Can't resist sale items!

My Target basket filled up quickly last night.  We only needed a flash drive and bought a Mickey Mouse Sweater, gift bag, baby card and cute bunny pillow.  Such great things on sale, we could have bought more, keeping my eye on a few things.  We were in a rush, need to go back, and checkout all my favorite departments; clothing, Housewares and wine.

I really want the brushed gold cocktail cart!  That will be my next big purchase.

Target Basket filled with flowers

Beauty of Fresh Flowers

My Target basket is filled with flowers today!  One of my New Year’s resolutions was to always have vases filled with fresh arrangements, either purchased or picked from my yard.  During the growing season, my neighbors will put their extra flowers, cuttings, and fruit on the curb; the sign will read, “Free, Take, Share”.  I love it; we always have fresh Meyer lemons, un-bloomed orchids, bulbs and a mix of fresh flowers.   The flowers on my Google page are from the local farmers market.   Something about fresh flowers bright up a room.
Enjoy the day, stop and smell the roses!
